New Barclays Wealth service

by isleofman.com 19th May 2010

A NEW service looking after Barclays Wealth’s Intermediary clients who have complex and specialist banking and investment requirements is being launched in the Isle of Man.

The Intermediary & Institutional Wealth solutions team (IIWS) will look after the top 100 Intermediary clients and has been developed following feedback from clients.

‘Business is changing rapidly and clients now require more specific solutions tailored to their complex needs. The days of a standardised approach have gone and we are challenged to deliver a wider range of products and solutions with relationship managers who can demonstrate true industry expertise whilst continuing to provide a technologically driven, low cost banking service to a large volume of active multi currency accounts,’ said David Stanley, Barclays Wealth Director.

‘The IIWS proposition has been developed specifically for those intermediary and institutional clients who have complex requirements. The team will meet the needs of our clients in the Isle of Man by building sustainable partnerships and developing plans for long-term financial success.’

The IIWS team will provide clients with a range of world class investment and banking products as well as product and platform solutions which will allow clients to access the full capability of Barclays Capital and the Barclays Group.

‘We recognise the importance to our clients of delivering superior end to end service. Having professional relationship managers is just part of this service and so they will be supported by a dedicated middle and back office. This will include a proactive technical support team to deliver a range of online and bespoke technological solutions and a dedicated payment and service team. We are confident that the new IIWS team will offer clients an unrivalled service,’ said Mr Stanley.

The IIWS team will be launched in Isle of Man on 25th May with a breakfast seminar, at which Barclays Wealth economist Henk Potts will give a post-election economic outlook. His presentation will look at whether the world’s economic recovery is assured and which areas of investment offer the greatest opportunities.
