Major carrier begins Manx service

The skies above the Isle of Man are set to get a little bit busier from lunchtime today (Friday), as easyjet launches its first service to and from Ronaldsway.

The budget airline will run a six times a week operation between Liverpool John Lennon Airport and the Island, and it's thought further routes may be added if the first one is a success.

Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne believes easyjet's arrival will be welcomed by most Island residents, but admits that view may not be shared by the other airlines which operate here:
