Director says airport is ready for easyjet

by isleofman.com 21st May 2010

Easyjet begins its Isle of Man service today (Friday), with an inaugural flight from Liverpool.

The plane will be carrying a number of people called Douglas to mark the occasion, and they will be performing in the Strand Centre later, as the Manx public gets to choose the airline's new face for advertising.

Easyjet says it will be enforcing a strict deadline for checkins, with little time for the traditional Manx 'traa-dy-liooar', because its tight schedules allow only 25 minutes between landing and taking off again.

Director of Ronaldsway Airport Ann Reynolds says staff are ready (play audio file):

The first easyjet plane is due at lunchtime.
