First easyJet flight from Island forced to return

There was a dramatic start to easyJet's Isle of Man service at lunchtime today.

The Airbus plane had to turn back after taking off from Ronaldsway on the return flight to Liverpool, when a flap was spotted open at the rear of the aircraft.

Earlier it had landed in bright sunshine to start the six times a week scheduled service.
