Friends Provident recruitment boosted by Open Day

by isleofman.com 24th May 2010
FRIENDS Provident International has reported a “successful” Open Day which was linked to staff recruitment.
Several of the 30 people who attended the company’s Royal Court offices in Castletown filled in application forms and all visitors were given information packs.
Friends Provident International is recruiting in the customer services, corporate services and sales operations departments and staff from all of these areas attended the open day to give more information about the roles.
"We were pleased to see a range of people interested in Friends Provident International, from students and recent graduates to those already in work,” said Emma Ledsham, marketing communications specialist.
“Several people who attended the open day filled in application forms or submitted their CVs. It was a very successful evening, not just in terms of recruitment, but also because it allowed everyone who came along to find out more about what we do."
Two of the visitors were Kayla Cowley and Craig Rogers who have both recently completed business management degrees through Isle of Man College and University of Central Lancashire. Both Kayla and Craig said they found the open day useful and were impressed by the career opportunities and working environment offered by the company.
Earlier this month Friends Provident reported international first quarter sales of £56.5 million, an increase of 49% compared to the first quarter of 2009. As well as being one of the Island’s major employers, Friends Provident International also supports many community initiatives including the Southern Befrienders scheme and The Children’s Centre’s Leadership in the Community (LinC) programme.
