Island-based PokerStars has confirmed it’s to sponsor this year’s TT Superbike race held on Saturday, June 5, as well as becoming the official gaming partner of the TT Races.
After supporting Supersport, Superstock and Senior TT Races in 2007 and the Senior in 2009, the company swapped to the Superbike race to allow Dainese to bring in Moto GP star Jorge Lorenzo and multiple World Champion Angel Nieto for the Senior this year.
This year PokerStars says it’ll award a new prize – the Spirit of TT Award – which will recognise the hard work of a local unsung hero.
The award is open to anyone who contributes to the event, including riders, marshals and volunteers, and will be judged by a panel of representatives from the public and private sector.
