ISLE of Man-based gaming software experts Microgaming are moving into the French market which is shortly to be liberalised. The company has over the last few days applied for four operator licences.
Microgaming said today (Tuesday) it had applied for a licence on behalf of an un-named French land-based casino group while last week it applied for three licences for operators, two of which fell under its recently announced joint venture with 888.com.
Gigi Levy of 888.com said of these applications, “The submission of these applications marks a step towards our launch in one of the strategically important European markets. We look forward to developing the synergies of Microgaming’s brand presence and 888’s premium offering.”
