Roy Hall takes over vehicle leasing franchise

A name well known in the Manx motor trade is trialling a new vehicle leasing business in the Island.

Roy Hall began his career as a mechanic, and became sales manager at Athol Garage before going on to run Japan Direct.

He has now bought UK franchise Neva Vehicle Leasing and Contract Hire, which he says is the first franchise of its kind in the Isle of Man.

The idea is simple - instead of buying a car outright, businesses and individuals can lease a vehicle at a fixed montly cost.

Mr Hall says his first challenge is explaining the concept to the Manx market, as although the idea is well established in the UK, it isn't here:
