Bogus website warning from regulator

by isleofman.com 7th June 2010

The Financial Supervision Commission is warning of a website which purports to be that of Anglo Irish Bank but in fact has no connection to the company.

Angloirishonline.com says it belongs to the firm, which is based in Douglas.

However, after investigating the matter, the FSC has confirmed the site has no associated with the bank.

Although the address on the bogus website is that of the genuine company, none of the email addresses are real.

The FSC says the site is probably being run as an identity theft scam and nobody should send any information through it.
