New directors at Simcocks Advocates

by isleofman.com 6th July 2010

SIMCOCKS Advocates has appointed Robert Lindley and Alex Spencer to its board of directors.

Robert works in both the corporate and commercial and private client departments specialising in property and trust matters.

He joined the practice in 2001, left to work at Walker Morris in Leeds and returned to Simcocks in 2008.

Alex works in the corporate and commercial department and has been named a leader in his field by the independent legal directory, Chambers UK.

He joined Simcocks in 2002 and specialises in corporate acquisitions and disposals, rights issues, AIM listings, shareholders’ agreements, company migrations and non-contentious liquidation and insolvency matters. Alex also deals with banking and finance transactions for both lenders and borrowers.

Simcocks chief executive Phil Games said: "One of the reasons why Simcocks continues to go from strength to strength is our belief in growing and developing our talented team. To provide a premier service we have to have a first class team and fresh ideas are the lifeblood of any business.

"Robert and Alex have impressed a large number of clients with their ‘can do’ attitude and commercially realistic approach. Together, they work across our key sectors and have contributed to this year’s strong company performance. We are extremely pleased to welcome them to the board."

Robert said: "I am very pleased to become a director of such a well-respected company. The private client department is ranked in the top tier by independent researchers from the legal directory, The Legal 500."

Alex said: "The practice has an exceptional client base, both locally and internationally, and is flourishing. There are ambitious plans to develop over the coming years and I am looking forward to helping drive the company forward."
