CHRISTOPHER Smith is to be appointed interim chief executive officer of Thomas Miller Investment (Isle of Man) Ltd.
The move follows the departure of former chief executive officer John Greenwood.
A senior Thomas Miller Investment executive, Chris has a long standing association with the Isle of Man and has extensive knowledge of both the Island’s financial community and TMI’s local operation, having been a founding director of its flagship Manx authorised scheme, the TMI Liquidity Fund.
Chris joined Thomas Miller Investment in 2006, assuming responsibility for cash management and Treasury advice and, more recently, he was appointed group head of business development and marketing, which encompasses Thomas Miller’s Isle of Man, London, and Edinburgh offices.
He said: "I'm delighted to be taking overall responsibility at such an exciting time, and look forward to working with my colleagues to maintain and build on what is a very strong business.
"I believe that we have the best pool of investment and risk management talent on the Island and look forward to our continued success over the years ahead."
