Big move for Junior achievement

by isleofman.com 19th July 2010

Junior Achievement - the charity which has provided careers education for thousands of Manx youngsters - is on the move!

JA as it's known, has re-located from Port Erin to offices in Peterson House on the Middle River Industrial Estate in Douglas.

Junior Achievement has so far reached 3000 students but has set an ambitious target of 70 per cent growth for 2011.

In the next school year JA hopes 5000 school-age pupils will benefit from their introduction-to-business programmes.

Already, five more primary schools have signed-up for Junior Achievement programmes - aimed at fostering young entrepreneurs.

The charity says it still needs more volunteers to deliver the training and has to raise around ?300,000 to carry on its work.
