REFURBISHMENT work has been taking place on the building which will become the new home for Capital International Group.
The company, which currently has it head office in Castletown as well as a branch in Victoria Street, Douglas, will be relocating to the old Post Office building in Circular Road, Douglas.
Chief executive officer Anthony Long said: "For some time we have been looking for new premises that can accommodate all our business interests in a single location, enable us to significantly upgrade our core systems infrastructure and at the same time provide us with a building that projects and facilitates our future ambitions and growth plans.
"Earlier this year the board identified the Old Post Office Building, on Circular Road in Douglas, as a suitable new head office for the Capital International Group of companies. We wanted to be more cohesive as a group, working together in one location.
"The building is currently undergoing extensive internal and external refurbishment. Once completed, it will be renamed Capital House and will become a prestigious office location in the heart of the Island’s business community.
"The building encompasses 20,000 square feet of modern office space and restaurant facilities, spread across four floors. Our acquisition of this building underlines our continued commitment and confidence in the Isle of Man economy and reflects the significant future growth plans we have for the Group."
The relocation of Capital International Group business activity will be completed in the Autumn. The company aims to release further information regarding the move over the coming months with a formal opening anticipated towards the end of the year.
