New management system for car parks?

Douglas Borough Council may be about to do away with the pay and display ticket machines at the Shaw's Brow and Bottle Neck car parks.

The Public Works Committee is considering replacing them with 'pay on exit' barriers, like the ones at Ronaldsway Airport.

A decision will be taken after a further report has been produced, which will also look at replacing the machines with a full-time parking attendant.

Chairman of the Works Committee David Ashford knows which system he would like to see:
