Government updates sanctions list

by isleofman.com 18th August 2010

The Manx Treasury says it has updated its sanctions regime against an individual, removing him from the Island's watchlist.

Waseem Kayani was blacklisted in February 2008, when the government ordered his assets and funds to be frozen.

But that direction has now been revoked and the 33-year-old, who lives in Buckinghamshire, is no longer subject to financial sanctions.

For more details on the sanctions regimes relating to terrorism, Al-Qaida and the Taliban you can log onto gov.im and visit the Customs and Excise pages.
