Presentation next month on a guide to AIM

by isleofman.com 24th August 2010

LAWYERS Paul Beckett and Elizabeth Grayton from Mannin Chambers will be the speakers at an Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) Isle of Man event in September.

Douglas law practice Mannin Chambers is a member of the www.AIM.co.im strategic alliance specialising in AIM listing services.

The firm recently acted with McGrigors in the admission to AIM of OPG Power Ventures plc. Paul and Elizabeth's presentation will cover AIM listing and associated advantages and disadvantages.

Recent research published by the London Stock Exchange and Hemscott has shown that of the 1,685 companies listed  on AIM, 409 have countries of operation outside the UK and 57 of these are incorporated in the Isle of Man.

The Island also boasts more non-UK AIM 100 companies than any other jurisdiction with a total of 15, including a total of £1.6 billion raised for India-based companies since 2006.

More than 500 international companies are now listed on AIM.

It is widely regarded as the world's number one growth market and is swiftly becoming a hotbed for rapidly growing companies from emerging markets. With its favourable fiscal regime for companies interested in listing on AIM, the Isle of Man's dominance in the market looks set to continue.

The presentation, sponsored by Mannin Chambers, will be on Thursday, September 23 with a 6pm for 6.15pm start at the Shearwater Suite, Hilton Hotel.

Admission is free. For information about events or if you would like to be included on the mailing list contact icsa@manx.net
