MOORE Stephens Isle of Man has become an Isle of Man Champion.

Chief Minister Tony Brown MHK officially welcomed the accountancy and consultancy firm to the programme during a presentation in his office in Douglas.

Managing partner of Moore Stephens Isle of Man Clive Dixon said: "At Moore Stephens, we’re always looking at ways to promote and enhance the Island’s reputation as a leading international finance centre.

"Being appointed as an Isle of Man Champion is both recognition of this and an honour.

"With Moore Stephens member firms in over 98 countries, we're positive that we will be able to emphasise the essential qualities of the Freedom to Flourish standard.

"Our inclusion in the scheme comes at an exciting time for Moore Stephens as we begin the roll-out of our rebrand, which will include the powerful Isle of Man message.

"Moore Stephens endorses the Champion ethos, both in international business and by being actively involved in the community through affiliation with charities, sports clubs and the arts."

Membership of the scheme is by invitation of the Chief Minister Tony Brown MHK, who said: "I am pleased to welcome Moore Stephens as an Isle of Man Champion. This status is awarded to leading organisations in the Isle of Man who are committed to shaping and promoting our national identity.

"Central to the Champions’ mission is the strategy to enhance the Island’s international reputation, promote social cohesion and protect its unique heritage, culture and identity.

"The people-focused ethos of Moore Stephens echoes the Isle of Man Champion scheme which works to ensure that the Island's residents feel part of a supportive community where they are able to reach their full potential.

"Moore Stephens is a fine example of how local firms can raise positive awareness of the Isle of Man brand on an international scale."

The Isle of Man Freedom to Flourish strategy, which won the support of Tynwald, in 2006, aims to protect and improve the Isle of Man and the Champions programme is a unique partnership of the Island’s leading business, public and third sector organisations committed to realise the Freedom to Flourish strategy.
