KPMG Isle of Man have appointed Archie Watt as a new senior manager in their advisory team, with the aim of bringing a dedicated online gaming expert to the Manx practice.
Archie has moved from KPMG in London, where he held a similar role in the information, communication and entertainment practice, as an IT advisory specialist with a particular focus on clients in the e-gaming sector.
Prior to joining the firm in 2006, he worked on the public listings of internet gaming companies such as 888, Playtech and PartyGaming.
In these roles he has built up significant experience of the online gaming sector.
Archie said: "I have worked closely with the Isle of Man practice for a number of years now and I’m really looking forward to the unique challenges afforded by working on this vibrant offshore centre.
"The calibre of e-gaming clients and the opportunities available to the sector in the Isle of Man were what attracted me here, and I am looking forward to working with some of the talented individuals in that field who have made the Isle of Man their home."
David McGarry, managing director of KPMG Isle of Man, said: "We're delighted to have Archie on board, not just because of his experience and professionalism, but also because of what it means for our business.
"With the skills Archie brings to us, this appointment is a major step forward in our project to provide market-leading advisory services for our e-gaming clients in the Isle of Man and elsewhere."
Archie joins the growing Advisory team at KPMG and will work particularly closely with Russell Kelly, Mike Harvey, Clare Mahood and Micky Swindale to develop the gaming and IT Advisory practice across the Isle of Man and Gibraltar.
Director Russell Kelly said: "We aim to provide a diverse range of services and to respond quickly and effectively to the specialist needs of our clients in the booming online gaming sector.
"Archie's experience will help us to achieve those goals."
