MANX Telecom has a new-look board following the firm's recent change of ownership.
Back in June it was announced that the company, previously part of the Telefonica group, had been bought by CPS Partners - an international telecommunications company - and HgCapital, a European private equity investor which invests mainly in the telecoms, media, technology, healthcare, industrial and service sectors.
Following the change of ownership chairman of the board Walter Gilbey has stepped down and his role will be undertaken by Sir Miles Walker.
The company’s new owners are represented by Alex King and Joachim Drees from HgCapital and Simon Cunningham and Roy Polley from CPS Partners.
New members of the board also include Simon Cain, a partner at law firm Appleby, and Mike Dee, Manx Telecom’s director of finance.
Existing board members Jon McGowan, managing director of MAC Financial, together with Chris Hall, Manx Telecom’s managing director, remain on the newly reconstituted board.
Sir Miles Walker said: "On behalf of everyone at Manx Telecom, I would like to thank Walter Gilbey for his contribution throughout what has been a remarkable 25 year association with the company.
"Under his stewardship as chairman we have gone from strength to strength and he steps down with our heartfelt thanks and good wishes.
"Looking forward, the future for telecoms – in all its aspects – has never been more exciting, and I’m confident that our new board has the right blend of skills and experience needed to both meet the challenges, and seize the opportunities."
