THERE are plenty of Isle of Man based companies at the Monaco Yacht Show offering a range of services.
And there are 11 Isle of Man registered super yachts at the show this week which is an important event for anyone involved in the super yacht business.
Bransom Bean, director of Moore Stephens Crew Benefits, said: "You have to go to Monaco every year if you are in this industry. You can be assured anyone who is anybody will be at Monaco, it is all geared towards the super yacht industry."
But what exactly is a super yacht?
A super yacht is a yacht that is 24 metres and above but often larger.
They usually don't have more than 12 passengers and there are only 4,000 of them in the world.
It is believed there are only 90,000 people in the world rich enough to own one.
There is a vast price range - anything from two or three million to more than £300m and it costs around 10 to 20 per cent of the purchase price to run the yachts every year.
To help pay that some yachts charter for $100,000 to almost $1 million per week.
The world's biggest super yacht - Eclipse - is more than 550 feet long.
