ONE of the many Isle of Man based companies with a presence at the Monaco Yacht Show is Intertrust.
The company has two staff present at the show and they are there marketing the "global capabilities of the Intertrust Group in the super yacht industry".
Director Steve Cain, speaking before the start of the show, said: "Our products and solutions are very bespoke and with offices in 22 countries we are perfectly placed to provide numerous options for clients in determining where they structure the corporate ownership or flag state of registration.
"In addition we will see a big presence at the Monaco Show in the yachts which we manage and this will give us the perfect opportunity to meet with the owners and and captains to discuss ongoing operations of the vessel.
"Intertrust has been invited to numerous receptions and networking opportunities during the week which we will take the opportunity to promote our services and indeed the Isle of Man as a jurisdiction for doing business.
"Intertrust is also the leaders in the importation of yachts into the EU having devised several routes for effective importation where there is no requirement to physically pay the VAT but the client ends up with a yacht where the VAT has been accounted for.
"Although we will be strongly promoting these services at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show next month there is still a lack of awareness of the requirements by European yacht brokers and managers and we will hopefully attract further business on this front."
