CONTINENT 8 Technologies will be involved in the Monaco iGaming Exchanges (MiE) in October, sending a delegation to the international show which has a special focus on the French market.
France has seen significant licensing changes in the last six months and Continent 8 felt it was important to send a delegation to maintain its strong links with the country.
In April this year, Continent 8 announced a strategic partnership with Telehouse in France to provide premium hosting services to the online gaming community wishing to operate in France. Since this announcement a number of existing and new customers have installed gaming infrastructure in this state-of-the-art data centre in order to be compliant with the strict French regulations.
“Business has been very busy with operators wanting to have access to the lucrative French market,” said Nick Nally, chief development officer of Continent 8 Technologies. “Many of these will be at the show in Monaco (October 11th - 15th). We are also planning to meet with many of the incumbent French gaming companies from both the online and land based sectors”.
Continent 8, a pioneer supplier to the global i-gaming industry headquartered in the Isle of Man, is known for innovation and its multi-jurisdictional model of hosting and managed services in its many data centres. It has been involved in the online gaming sector for 12 years and was winner of the ‘Data Centre of the Year’ at this year’s e-gaming B2B awards.
Richard Ebbutt, head of marketing of Continent 8 Technologies, said, “This is a new exhibition in what is a very important and growing market for Continent 8. We are seeing a trend where many customers need to be hosted in multiple data centres with a distributed geographical footprint in order to target their key markets and comply with local licensing requirements. Where possible they prefer to do so under a single commercial model.”
