The Manx businessmen behind the latest failed bid to create a leisure complex on the former Summerland site are to meet Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure David Cretney on Monday.
Graham and Mike Priest of Springham Ltd. say they were told their proposal wouldn't be taken any further through their architects on Thursday.
They spent two years bringing the plans forward and expect Mr Cretney to give the reasons why the scheme has been dismissed.
Springham's plans would have seen the construction of an 80-bed hotel, apartments, a leisure complex and a car park.
Graham Priest says it would have cost the Manx government no more than ?1 million, through a tourism development grant.
