by isleofman.com 12th October 2010

THE bike nine-times motorcycle world champion Valentino Rossi rode round the Mountain Course at last year's TT is up for grabs on eBay.

Rossi took part in a parade lap on the Yamaha R1 as part of his visit which attracted worldwide publicity.

Now a fan has the chance to buy the bike - signed by the bike racing legend - for £25,000.

It is advertised on eBay.co.uk by Highbarn Motorcycles of Chadderton, Oldham, and a description if it says: "Yamaha R1 2009 998cc 182 Bhp. crossplane crank, this is the bike that Valentino Rossi used to ride round the Isle of Man TT course on at the 2009 TT during a parade lap for Yamaha.

"Possibly the only bike Rossi will ever ride round the TT course, almost certainly the only Yamaha he will ever ride round the TT course. This is the only one in the world. Authenticated by Yamaha motors uk. Signed by Rossi, only 181 miles."

Valentino, who has won seven MotoGP titles, one world 250cc title and one world 125cc title, won the latest round of the MotoGP championship in Malaysia on Sunday by battling his way from 11th early in the race.

On the same day Jorge Lorenzo, his teammate, lifted the world championship. Lorenzo was a visitor to this year's TT.

Next year Rossi, regarded by many critics and fans as the greatest motorcycle racer ever, will be riding for Ducati in MotoGP.
