Accolades for Friends Provident International

by isleofman.com 14th October 2010

FOR the second year in a row Friends Provident International has won ten accolades at the 2010 International Adviser Awards.

In the Far East category Friends Provident International won five awards.

As well as the Best Adviser Support and Customer Services and Best Overall Product Range awards, Friends Provident International's International Protector Asia product won the Best New Product and the Best Protection Product awards.

The company's Discounted Gift Trust was chosen as the Best Trust and Estate Planning Product.

They also won five awards in the Middle East category.

As well as winning the Best Adviser Support and Customer Services the company picked up four more prizes for best products.

They were Best New Product and Best Protection Product for the International Protector Middle East product, Best Single Premium Investment Product for its Reserve product and Best Trust and Estate Planning Product for its Discounted Gift Trust product.

The International Adviser Awards are for the international life industry covering cross-border sales into the UK plus the Middle East and Far East regions. They reward excellence in product design, distribution and servicing intermediaries.

As each market is so different there are three sets of awards - one for the UK offshore industry, one for the Middle East and one for the Far East.

Paul Tunnicliffe, director of international operations at Friends Provident International, said: "To win 10 International Adviser Awards for the second year in succession is a fantastic achievement.

"The awards are a just reward for our customer focused approach and the time and effort all of our staff put in to make sure our products are tailored to suit the needs of our clients.

"Our achievement is particularly impressive in light of the fact that the awards are judged by a number of independent consultants and third party financial advisers."

The judging process involves organisers asking a group of leading independent financial advisers (IFA) from each region to look at the products available and the customer service of the providers in their appropriate region.

There were also three non-IFA judges who are experts in the offshore life industry.

Finally, to give as much independence as possible, organisers ask a number of third party research and consultancy companies to review products and providers.

The event was held at The Mayfair Hotel in London on September 23.

Friends Provident's head office is located in Castletown.
