New chief executive appointed at Post Office

ISLE of Man Post Office has announced the appointment of Mike Kelly to the role of chief executive.

 

Mike, who has held the role of acting chief executive since April, has been with Isle of Man Post Office for 36 years.

 

He has experience in all areas of the business particularly in operational and commercial roles.

 

Prior to taking up the position of acting chief executive Mike had been an executive director of the Isle of Man Post Office since 1996.

 

Throughout his career at the Post Office Mike has played a fundamental role in driving the business forward. 

 

Mike said: "I am delighted to be taking on this new position within the ever-changing but exciting environment the postal industry is facing.

 

"I am committed to sustaining a profitable future for the business with the introduction of new products and services which satisfy our customers' needs whilst embracing advances in technology in order to take advantage of potential business opportunities.

 

"I look forward to continuing to work with the loyal and dedicated people at Isle of Man Post Office and moving the business forward with them."
 
Alan Crowe MLC, chairman of Isle of Man Post Office, said: "On behalf of the Board I would like to welcome Mike to this new appointment.

 

"With Mike's experience and extensive in-depth knowledge of the postal industry he is certainly the ideal person to lead Isle of Man Post Office forward in these exciting times."
