by isleofman.com 4th November 2010

MANNVEND has been shortlisted as one of three finalists for a prestigious UK award.

The company, based at the Spring Valley Industrial Estate in Braddan, is in the running for the Auto Vending Innovation Awards' Operator of the Year Award.

It will find out if it has won the accolade at a gala dinner at Old Trafford football ground, Manchester, on Monday, November 15.

The awards are held every two years and MannVend won this particular award in 2008.

Nominations are evaluated by an expert panel of judges which includes the director general of the European Vending Association and leading figures from the vending industry.

Managing director of MannVend Tracey Leahy said: "These awards are held every two years and are considered to be the Oscars of the vending industry.

"We are delighted to have been shortlisted and I'm very proud of the team here at MannVend for their contributions.

"We remain a family owned and run business and our success in being shortlisted for such a prestigious award is significant not only for ourselves but for the Isle of Man where the freedom to flourish enables local businesses to be recognised in the UK."

It will be a busy week for MannVend as they are also finalists in the Company of the Year Award in the Isle of Man Newspapers' Awards for Excellence which take place on Thursday, November 18 at the Villa Marina, Douglas.
