A body found near Windsor Great Park at the end of last week has been confirmed as that of missing millionairess and former Isle of Man resident Joanna Brown.
The 46-year-old went missing from her country mansion in Ascot a week ago, and her husband - Robert Brown, also 46 - has been charged with her murder.
Thames Valley Police say Mrs Brown's body was found on Friday night, in dense woodland in an area known as the Crown Estate.
They say a post mortem, carried out at Wexham Park Hospital the following day, showed she died of 'severe blunt force trauma to the head, and associated complications'.
Mr Brown, a British Airways pilot, was charged with murder on Friday, and is due to appear at Reading Crown Court today (Monday) for a bail hearing.
He will be back in court a week today, for a preliminary hearing in relation to the murder charge.
Mrs Brown was well known on the Isle of Man having grown up in Laxey and attended Buchan School.
She was the daughter of the late Chris Simpson, a property developer, and Di Parkes who lives in Sulby.
The Browns had two children and were going through a divorce when Mrs Brown went missing.
