Aer Arran returns to trading

by isleofman.com 10th November 2010

Irish airline Aer Arann. which operates routes to Dublin and London City from Ronaldsway, will come out of examinership today (Wed)

The company entered the situation – which is an alternative to liquidation – in late August, in a bid to turn around a 13 million Euros deficit.

The global economic downturn and disruption caused by the Icelandic ash cloud were cited as the reasons.

However, a hearing at Dublin's High Court today will confirm the airline returns to normal trading, safeguarding more than 500 jobs.
