The Isle of Man's important eGaming sector is the focus of a day-long event at the Mount Murray Hotel today (Tuesday).

The inaugural KPMG eGaming Summit brings together representatives of Manx-based companies involved in the online gaming, together with accountants, lawyers, corporate service providers and others who serve the industry.

There are well over a dozen speakers, and the day is being divided into two themed halves - 'The Isle of Man - A Good Place to Play' this morning, and 'eGaming - A Safe Bet' after lunch.

The welcome address will be given by Minister for Economic Development Allan Bell, after which the summit will be opened by KPMG director 'audit and advisory', Russell Kelly.

Breakfast is at 8.30am, signing on at 9am, and Mr Bell's welcoming address is scheduled for 9.30am.
