Government’s IT Director to address Manx ICT Association

ALLAN Paterson, the Isle of Man Government's Director of Information Systems, will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Manx ICT (Information and Communication Technologies)Association on 30th November.

 

It's anticipated that Mr. Paterson will talk about public & private sector collaboration in ICT , the Information Systems Division since its move to the Department of Economic Development, Isle of Man Government IT Strategy and related topics.

 

MICTA is expecting a full house for the event. A spokesman said, “The Government is by far the largest customer for ICT on the Island and Mr. Paterson's decisions are very important for the future of the industry.”

 

The meeting will be 6 pm for 6:30 pm in the Sanderson Suite of the Claremont Hotel. Non-members will be welcome to attend.

 

A small charge will be levied on the door to cover room hire & refreshments, which will be £6 for employees of MICTA members, and £9 for non-members. Tea, coffee & sandwiches will be provided. The bar will be open.

 

6.00 - 6:30pm: Reception & refreshments

6:30 - 7:00pm: Mr Allan Paterson, Q&A / Discussion

Followed by extended discussion & informal networking.

 

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to advise the secretary (secretary@micta.im) to assist with catering.
