CELTON Manx has made a major senior appointment with the news that Mike Stanton has joined the company as Head of Business Development.

Mike Stanton is a well known face in the Isle of Man’s business community and is highly respected for his achievements with Manx Telecom for many years and latterly with Sure / Cable & Wireless.

Bill Mummery, executive director of Celton Manx, said, “Mike joins us at a very exciting time and his appointment will undoubtedly strengthen the activities of our management team. His experience and capabilities in both the technical and commercial aspects of business make him the ideal candidate to take a lead role in our future development.”

Mike Stanton began his career with British Telecom (BT) in 1988, and his first employer gave him the opportunity to extend his professional credentials over a wide range of technical and commercial projects, based in the UK and Europe. He has a proven track record for delivering business development and change management, which are key elements to his new job at Celton Manx.

Mike and his family relocated to the Isle of Man in 2000. His career on the Island has included senior roles with Manx Telecom and e-llan Communications, and most recently he was country manager for Sure Cable & Wireless Isle of Man.

He said, “It feels great to be joining such a well respected and leading organisation in this relatively new global industry.

“The achievements and rapid growth of Celton Manx have been nothing short of phenomenal. Its plans for the future are ambitious but entirely realistic and I am very excited to be part of it”.
