MORE than 70 children and staff from Rebecca House children's hospice enjoyed a private ice skating session with Dancing on Ice winner and ex- England rugby player Kyran Bracken.
Sure, who sponsor the temporary ice rink, organised for Kyran and his professional skating partner Andrea Law, an ex-Olympian, to perform and for the children and staff to have time on the ice.
Guests were also treated to hot chocolate, mince pies and got the chance to meet Kyran and Andrea in person.
Kate Hegarty, marketing manager at Sure said: "We are thrilled to be able to support such a worthwhile cause during a time of year when families need it the most.
"It was great to have so many children and staff from the Hospice down to the rink to enjoy the skating. It gave us the opportunity to give back to the community and put a smile on so many faces.
"We will be collecting donations and engaging in a number of sponsored activities throughout the season to support Hospice Isle of Man."
Mary Doyle, PR and marketing manager at Hospice Isle of Man, added: "We're delighted that Sure have chosen to support the Hospice this Winter.
"The children and staff at Rebecca House really enjoyed their experience at the rink and we're glad they were able to accommodate us. We look forward to being involved in future activities this winter with Sure Skate."
Sure Winter Skate is open everyday from 9am – 10pm until January 3.
