eClub event launched for eGaming employees

by isleofman.com 8th December 2010

A NEW event which has been launched for people working in or with the online gaming industry has launched.

eClub has been set up by Continent 8 Technologies and KPMG with the intention of bringing together the increasing number of eGaming employees in the Island.

The industry currently employs more than 600 people directly and many more indirectly.

Richard Ebbutt, marketing manager at Continent 8, said: "Everyone had a great time and the feedback has been excellent. People have been saying how useful it was to meet other people in their profession and build new relationships.

"We're really glad to have played a part in making this happen. Community is an important aspect in any job or industry and especially so in a young and growing industry like eGaming."

Micky Swindale of KPMG added: "There were all sorts of people there from many different companies - both sector insiders and providers from other industries. The chance to meet like-minded people was great but the really important thing is that everyone had a fun time."

The event was held at The Courthouse Club. For regular updates and to get involved join the group "Isle of Man eClub" on LinkedIn or visit www.facebook.com/isleofmaneclub.
