Playtech buys IGS

Manx-based eGaming software firm Playtech has bought Intelligent Gaming Solutions for ?5.5 million.

IGS provides software-based casino management systems to bricks and mortar casinos across Europe.

Playtech says the acquisition complements its current business and will enhance its cross platform capability as casinos move towards developing online operations.

Playtech CEO Mor Weizer says the convergence of land-based and online segments is becoming a key theme in the industry.
