by isleofman.com 2nd March 2011

DERMOT Hamill, head of wealth management at Collins Stewart, is the guest speaker for this year’s annual Junior Chamber of Commerce ‘Economic Outlook’ event at the end of this month.

A member of the Stock Selection Committee with involvement in the European Stock List and portfolio manager for both private and institutional clients,  Mr Hamill is also an Associate of the CFA Society in the UK.

This year’s event will be a breakfast meeting which take place at 7.30am on March 23rd at the Claremont Hotel in Douglas.

Dermot Hamill will present his views on the Economic and Market Outlook for 2011-12.  This will cover World Markets, European Market, UK Stocks and commodities and a brief look at the IOM.  The presentation will examine the future outlook and consideration will be given to: rising inflation; oil prices; UK economy resilience, and the latest Middle East turbulence.

It is widely believed, at least for the first half, that the UK stock market will provide a third consecutive year of positive returns so it will be interesting hear a professional’s thoughts on this.  Dermot also has ideas on where clients should be investing in an environment of rising inflation.

Following the presentation there will be an opportunity to put questions directly to the speaker. Admission is £9 Members, £13 Non-Members. Advance booking and payment is required.
