THE Joey Dunlop Foundation has announced there will be a ride out on July 2 to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the death of the legendary TT rider.
Joey, who won 26 TT races, was killed on July 2 2000 at a road race in Estonia.
Last year more than 400 motorcyclists completed an open roads lap of the TT course to mark the 10th anniversary of Joey's death.
A decade ago a charity was set up in his name and now the Joey Dunlop Foundation House at Braddan Bridge on the TT course provides self catering accommodation for people with special needs.
Foundation spokesman Kevin Quirk said: "Due to the success of last years ride out, the Joey Dunlop Foundation is pleased to advise that there will be another ride out on the 2nd July 2011 starting from the TT Grandstand at 4pm.
"Rather than just a lap of the Mountain circuit, we will have catering facilities at the grandstand and the JDF crew will be manning the hog roast.
"We are asking owners of classic cars and motorcycles to join in, these machines will be on display in the parc ferme."
To take part in this year's event participants are being asked to buy a T-shirt which costs £12 including postage.
To enter call at reception at JDF House, Braddan Bridge in Braddan (Monday to Fridays 9am to 2pm) or send a cheque in the post payable to Joey Dunlop Foundation stating your t shirt size and address.
