Duke of Gloucester to visit the Isle of Man

HIS Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester will visit the Isle of Man next week for a number of engagements related to charitable activities.

 

The Duke, who is first cousin to Her Majesty The Queen, will travel to the Island on Thursday, July 7.

 

He will attend a reception at Government House before meeting representatives from St John Ambulance, the Normandy Veterans Association, Pahar Trust Nepal, Manx National Heritage, Pestalozzi Isle of Man, the Isle of Man Victorian Society and the Isle of Man Council of Cancer Charities.

 

While on the Island His Royal Highness will visit a number of the Island's heritage landmarks including the Great Union Camera Obscura, the Laxey Mines Railway, Laxey Wheel and Castle Rushen.
