Domino's Pizza hit by ferry cancellations

by isleofman.com 1st December 2011

DOMINO'S Pizza in Douglas was forced to close yesterday (Wednesday) after the shop ran out of ingredients.

A message on the takeaway pizza shop's Facebook Page said the shop in Pulrose had had no deliveries due to sailings being cancelled.

It read: "We advise that the store will be closed today as we rely on fresh ingredients and have had no food deliveries due to the bad weather.

"We apologise for any inconvenience and are hoping to be open again from teatime tomorrow."

Bad weather has forced a number of cancellations to the ferry service between Douglas and Heysham over the last few days.

Yesterday the Ben-my-Chree went off timetable and sailed earlier than usual to try and avoid the severe gales in the Irish Sea. The evening services were cancelled.

Today's sailings are due to run to schedule.
