MANX Gas customers can now pay their gas bills online following the launch of an online payment service.
The company has also launched a new internet showroom where customers can buy products online.
Maggie O’Sullivan, customer services supervisor for Manx Gas, said: “We wanted to enhance the customer experience by making it possible to pay bills and order appliances at any time of the day or night from the comfort of your own home.”
The online showroom was launched on Saturday to coincide with the closure of part of the showroom at Murdoch House on South Quay.
It will be closed until January for refurbishment although the foyer is remaining open so that customers can still pay bills or have their queries answered.
Maggie continued: “We want to make it clear that while renovation is going on we will maintain our high levels of customer service.
“The showroom space is due to reopen on January 9, 2012, as a dedicated customer service centre, open Monday to Friday, with more staff and therefore increased coverage for those calling in to Murdoch House.
“The face-lift is not just about improving the looks of the building. We’ve listened to our customers. They wanted more staff on hand to assist customers face to face and over the phones. These improvements to our customer service area will make this possible.”
Customers will still have the option to pay bills by telephone or in person during normal opening times by cheque, cash or card. They can also pay by direct debit or at any post office in the Isle of Man.
