Half-term artistic fun at the Sayle Gallery

by isleofman.com 26th October 2012

Chris Powles, whose exhibition of watercolours 'Seeking Solitude' is currently on at the Sayle Gallery in Douglas, has provided a quiz about his paintings to encourage children interested in art to look closely at the work, and to interprete his landscapes in their own way.  There will be prizes for those who take part, and for parents, this is an ideal opportunity to entertain the youngsters whilst having time to enjoy the exhibition themselves.

Chris - who was previously Head of Art at Ramsey Grammar School - has had paintings reach the final of the Sunday Times Watercolour exhibition every year since 2009, and has exhibited work in London and all over the UK as well as at the Sayle Gallery.

The Sayle Gallery is in the Villa Marina Colonnade (next to Davison's icecream shop) and is open every day during half term (Monday 1pm - 5pm, Tues - Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 1.30pm to 4.30pm).
