That is all that is required per team to represent the club in this year’s IOMLTA Winter Mixed Doubles League.

They have to enter teams by 9th November – each team will play one men’s/ladies and two mixed tie break sets.  If you are keen to play throughout the winter then let the club coach Ian Watson know 496293 or e-mail ianwatsonpts@manx.net or e-mail your name to Pat Sharp - ballabreck@manx.net. The club should be able to raise at least two teams

Correction to last week’s headline – it is a Minute Secretary the club needs. A less onerous but important role for the efficient running of the club. We just need someone who can spare approximately 2 hrs once a month to write the minutes and issue them to the committee. We will also be needing a new Treasurer as our current one is finding more and more that work is taking his time. Hopefully this will all be sorted out at the AGM on Monday 26 November.

Car Boot/Table Top sale will be held in the club lounge on Saturday 8 December from 1pm – 4pm. Organisers are Karen Smith and Pat Sharp and they wish to hear from members who wish to take a table (?6) or are willing to help selling raffle tickets, refreshments or running a stall for club funds or a charity. Some of our members have been very busy cleaning court 3 and also part of court 2. This has to be done with brooms, a chemical and lots of muscle – so thank you to those who gave up their time. It cannot be done with professional cleaning apparatus as it would damage the acrylic surface. I’m afraid this is one of the “joys” of owning our own club.
