Hot on the heels of the Poppy Appeal Breakfast on 29 October, Manx2.com is again teaming up with Royal British Legion Isle of Man (RBL Isle of Man) and the Claremont Hotel, Douglas to host an Isle of Man Laithwaite’s Wine Tasting evening.

The event will be held on the 30th October at the Claremont Hotel, to raise funds through the Poppy Appeal for servicemen and women past, present and future.  The evening promises to be a relaxed affair with no previous wine knowledge required, and will allow guests to sample as many as thirty wines that will be on show from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

In support of RBL Isle of Man, Laithwaite’s Wine will donate 10% of any order placed on the evening, along with ?5.00 for each ticket sold, to the charity.  Guests will also receive a further 10% discount on any order, and orders of twelve bottles or more will be delivered absolutely free.

Tickets to the event are ?23.50 per person, and include all wine samples and a souvenir glass. As well as being able to try out a number of fine quality wines, cheese and nibbles will be available to complement the experience.

William from Laithwaite’s said: ‘It’s great when we get the opportunity to visit the Isle of Man, it is such a treat and we are always made welcome by our customers on the Island.’

Colonel Charles Wilson from RBL Isle of Man added:  'The Royal British Legion, Isle of Man, would like to thank Manx2.com and Sleepwell Hotels for hosting this event and for adopting the legion as its Charity of the Year 2012.  We have enjoyed splendid support throughout the year which has benefited the island’s poppy fund.   As it is now Poppy time again our wine tasting event will further help get the new Poppy year off to a flying start in support of our work amongst the Armed Forces and their families.’

Manx2.com will also be offering two free return tickets to any Manx2.com destination (subject to availability and terms and conditions) in support of the RBL Isle of Man.  To be in with a chance of winning this prize, guests can place a donation in the envelope provided.
