Fire crews attend Tractor fire

Fire crews from Douglas were called to a tractor on fire in a field off the Scollag Road near Abbeylands yesterday (23rd October) lunchtime.

Fighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze using a high pressure water hose-reel jet.

The tractor was severely damaged however no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is thought to have been an electrical problem involving the battery box.
