Cash machine strikes the right note for smaller withdrawals

by isleofman.com 18th October 2012

RBS International has added to its cash machine services by adapting one of its ATMs so that it can dispense five pound notes.

The cash machine at Royal Bank House in Victoria Street, Douglas, will be the only one in the Island able to offer customers the opportunity of withdrawing five pounds as a minimum rather than ten pounds.

Deniese Smith, Senior Bank Manager, RBS International, commented:

‘This move has come in response to feedback from customers. We are always looking for ways in which we can enhance our service locally and whilst the standard through-the-wall ATM is not built to dispense five pound notes, we have invested in adapting one of our machines so that the service can respond to customer needs.’

The ATM is located outside the branch so it is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
