There was a spectacle in Douglas’ waters this morning (8th May) when a 57.9m Abeking Rasmussen Superyacht docked after a long trip from Fort Lauderdale, USA after the Caribbean charter season.
Moore Stephens Yachting was engaged to organise all the paperwork and co-ordinate with Customs and Excise to ensure the accurate declaration and importation into the EU.
“Everything went exactly as it should have done,” said Grant Atchison, a director of Moore Stephens Trust Company, “We met the Captain and delivered the original importation clearance documents, required for her free circulation throughout the EU, within hours of her arrival. We attend industry shows around the world and see the yachts we are involved with but there is something extra special about seeing a yacht arrive here.”
“It was a great opportunity for staff members and the Island community to see a Superyacht of this magnitude and design”, said Clive Dixon, senior partner of Moore Stephens Isle of Man, “A Superyacht is a precious asset and it is a privilege to look after such vessels.”
