Lloyds TSB Ramsey Presents a Family Fun Day for Charity

by isleofman.com 8th September 2011
Lloyds TSB will be holding a family Fun Day and Charity Raffle at their Ramsey branch on Saturday 17th September from 11am to 4pm. The event will raise funds for The Manx Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital (MAWCH). There will be a whole host of activities taking place, which are suitable for all ages. MAWCH is dedicated to improving the lives of Manx children in hospital, providing services like transport to the hospital, extra beds so that parents can stay overnight, and equipment for hospital rooms. They are a small local charity and any donations will make a huge difference. There will be a number of challenges and games to take part in, with the chance to win fantastic prizes which include ?25 to open a First Account with Lloyds, and ?30 of ToyMaster vouchers. These range from Beat The Banker to Play Your Cards Right and Young Cashier of the Year; with a Colouring Competition for younger participants. There will also be a clown/magician show and free face painting, although any donations to charity will be gratefully received. Lloyds TSB Ramsey will also be running a Charity Raffle to raise funds for MAWCH. The amazing prizes on offer include an iPod Shuffle, a Connor Cummins signed print, and a wide range of vouchers and prizes for local businesses. There is something for everyone - with vouchers for meals out, clothes, electronics, gifts, flowers, pet supplies and beauty therapy appointments all up for grabs. Tickets will be sold at ?1 per strip, or 4 strips for ?3. Raffle tickets can be purchased from 12-17th September by calling into the Ramsey branch of Lloyds TSB. Ian Sturgess, the manager of the Ramsey branch, urged everyone to come down and join in the fun: “I’m delighted that we have this opportunity to fund-raise for such a fantastic cause, and we want to raise as much money as possible. The staff and I are really excited about the day and we would love to see lots of people getting involved – everyone is welcome to pop in for just a few minutes or stay with us all day! I would also like to personally thank all of the local businesses who have kindly supported us in the organisation of this event, because this would not have been possible without their help. Come down and join the fun!” - ENDS -
