Fabulous Fire Dogs a pair of French Antique Fireplace Andirons, Chenets or Firedogs, good quality castings from the early 1900s….great detail! Iron supports for logs in the fireplace, hold the wood above the hearth level allowing the air to pass around it to facilitate burning. Condition: Used antique, age appropriate wear. Ornate, original condition.
OR as a fine pair of decorative ornaments for a fireplace. One set 11" long Depending if they are inserted into the hearth or sit as side decortions. Also make good door stops and garden ornaments. Cast Iron, very pretty faces, nice details.
