Tadpoles

Lots of people will of recently spotted Chris on their screens as a presenter on the BBC programme Autumnwatch 2014 and he is now set to bring his one-man (no animals as far as we are aware) talk to The Gaiety Theatre on the 2nd December.

Chris, who was born in Southampton in 1961, will be giving his talk, entitled *Tadpoles not Included, about exciting encounters with large hungry carnivores,  close shaves with extinction and not forgetting his dangerous views about conservation.

Chris first came to our screens in the award winning 'Really Wild Show' in 1986 and he has been working ever since with credits including 'Wildshots', 'Wild Watch', 'Go Wild'.  So generally lots of programmes featuring the word 'wild' in the title. But there have been others; such as 'X-Creatures', 'Postcards from the Wild', 'Hands on Nature', 'Nature's Calendar', 'Springwatch', 'Autumnwatch', and 'Secrets of our Living Planet' to name a but a few more.

Known for his strong views on conservation and the environment Chris recently featured in the press for writing an open letter to "I'm a Celebrity.. get me out of here" presenters Ant and Dec to end the "abuse of animals" on the show.  "I'm a Celebrity.." is back on our screen now and sees celebrities take on "tasks", many of which involve animals and bugs.

So if you fancy an evening of zoological riches, humorous anecdotes and thought provoking questions about the creatures we say we love - and some we don't, but don't fancy a a lecture then this event is right up your street.

And you'll also be treated visually as Chris's talk will be illustrated with his superb photographs and film clip  Plus you'll have the opportunity to put your questions to him at the end.

*Tadpoles not included is on at the Gaiety Theatre from the 2nd December.  Contact the Box Office on 600555 or via www.villagaiety.com.
