US band Front Country had their Manx debut at the Centenary Centre. Before the Front Country came on stage, the audience was led gently into the audience by local musician Pete Woodman, who has been involved with a number of groups and also makes guitars; although on this occasion he gave a solo, vocal performance with lap guitar.
But the main act, San Francisco based group Front Country, didn't let the miserable Manx weather deter them from producing an outstanding performance which left the audience begging for more.
Ranging between Country, Bluegrass and Gospel music, Front Country was performing on the Isle of Man as part of their first international tour, and judging by their gripping performance each musician must have sold their soul to the devil to play with such proficiency.
Tipped for bigger things in the music world, the members of Front Country are independent musicians in their own right, but as a group they put their heart and soul into every number with sincerity.
Despite this being their debut on the Isle of Man, Front Country attracted both a capacity audience and a standing ovation.
